Elektrostatische Eigenschaften – Leistungsanforderungen an Material und Konstruktionsanforderungen

Diese Norm stellt eine Anforderung an Werkstoffe und Ausführung für elektrostatisch ableitfähige Schutzbekleidung dar, welche Bestandteil eines vollständig geerdeten Systems ist, die zur Vermeidung von zündfähiger Entladung dient. Die Antistatikfunktion ist hier so definiert, dass durch sie das Risiko einer zündfähigen Entladung (Explosion) minimiert wird. In brennbaren Atmosphären, die mit Sauerstoff angereichert sind, kann es sein, dass diese Anforderungen nicht genügen. Schutzkleidung, die nach dieser Norm zertifiziert ist, gilt nicht als Schutz vor Netzspannungen.

EN 1149 besteht aus folgenden Teilen:

EN 1149-1: Testmethode zur Messung des Oberflächenwiderstands.
EN 1149-2: Testmethode zur Messung des elektrischen Widerstandes durch ein Material (vertikaler Widerstand).
EN 1149-3: Testmethoden zur Messung des Ladungsabfalls. (elektrische Entladung)

Schutzkleidung, bei der die Materialoberfläche auf ihr elektrostatisches Entladeverhalten geprüft wird. Diese Norm beschreibt Arbeitskleidung, die im Hinblick auf ihre Eigenschaften zur Brechung elektrostatischer Ladung durch die Oberfläche des Bekleidungsmaterials geprüft wurde. Im Rahmen der Norm wird geprüft, ob die Schutzkleidung elektrische Ladungen in die Luft und nicht durch die Kleidung ableitet.

EN 1149-5: Leistungsanforderungen an Material und Konstruktion.

Diese Norm beschreibt die Anforderungen in Bezug auf die elektrostatisch ableitenden Eigenschaften von Schutzkleidung, die in Bereichen getragen wird, in denen die Gefahr plötzlicher elektrostatischer Entladungen besteht. Das Prüfverfahren der EN 1149-5 spezifiziert die Anforderungen an Materialien und die Gestaltung von elektrostatisch ableitender Schutzkleidung, um den Benutzer optimal zu schützen.

Elektrostatisch ableitende Schutzkleidung muss in der Lage sein, während des normalen Gebrauchs alle nicht übereinstimmenden Materialien dauerhaft abzudecken. Leitfähige Teile (Reißverschlüsse, Knöpfe usw.) sind zulässig, sofern sie während des Gebrauchs von einem äußeren Material bedeckt sind.
